The Grizzlies shot 54.5% from the floor and they outrebounded the Spurs 40-27 which were the two biggest reasons for the nice home win last night.  Zach Randolph (23 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists) and Tony Allen (23 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 steals and 1 blocked shot) led the way for the Grizzlies in this game.  O.J. Mayo (17 points and 1 assist), Mike Conley (12 points), Marc Gasol (11 points) and Shane Battier (10 points) also pitched in for the Grizzlies last night.  The Grizzlies are now 41-33 on the year.

The Grizzlies were outrebounded 45-32 last night and it killed them in the end.  Zach Randolph led the way for the Grizzlies last night with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 asssits, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.  Marc Gasol (14 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocked shots) and Tony Allen (13 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steal and 1 blocked shot) also had decent games for the Grizzlies last night.  Mike Conley (12 points), Leon Powe (11 points) and Darrell Arthur (10 points) also had decent games last night for the Grizzlies.  The Grizzlies are now 40-33 on the year.

The Grizzlies outscored the Celtics 23-17 to prevail in a very hard fought road win.  Zach Randolph (13 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists) and Leon Powe (13 points and 1 assist in 17 minutes) led the way for the Grizzlies in this game.  Sam Young (11 points), Marc Gasol (11 points), O.J. Mayo (11 points) and Darrell Arthur (10 points) also pitched in for the Grizzlies last night.  The Grizzlies are now 40-32 on the year.

Rudy Gay is officially done for the year for the Memphis Grizzlies

24-year old SG/SF Rudy Gay is officially done for the year for the Memphis Grizzlies as he needs shoulder surgery.  Gay played in 54 games (all starts) for the Grizzlies this year and he averaged 39.9 minutes, 19.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.1 blocked shots per game this season.  Gay has now played in 372 games (335 starts) in his first five years with the Grizzlies and he is averaging 36.0 minutes, 17.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game.  The Grizzlies are getting along fine without Gay right now but they would be so much better with him.

The Grizzlies shot 50.6% from the floor and they outrebounded the Jazz 40-30 which were the two biggest reasons for the impressive home  win last night.  Zach Randolph led the way for the Grizzlies last night with 19 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal.  Darrell Arthur (14 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 4 blocked shots) and Tony Allen (12 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists and 2 steals) also had good games for the Grizzlies last night.  Marc Gasol (11 points), Mike Conley (11 points and 11 assists), O.J. Mayo (11 points) and Hamed Haddadi (10 points in 12 minutes) also pitched in for the Grizzlies last night.  The Grizzlies are now 39-32 on the year.

The Grizzlies shot 51.8% from the floor and they outrebounded the Pacers 44-36 while holding them to 35.6% shooting from the floor.  With those factors in mind, it’s surprising that the Grizzlies didn’t win my more last night.  Tony Allen led the way for the Grizzlies last night with 19 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 steals and 1 blocked shot.  Zach Randolph also had a huge game with 17 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots.  Mike Conley (17 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals) and Marc Gasol (10 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot in 21 minutes) also helped out the Grizzlies’ cause last night.  The Grizzlies are now 38-32 on the year.

32-year old small forward Shane Battier is having a rough time adjusting to a role off the bench for the Grizzlies since coming over in a deal with the Rockets.  Battier has played in 10 games (0 starts) for the Grizzlies so far and he is averaging 26.1 minutes, 5.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.  His shooting has been horrible so far as he is only 18 of 49 (36.7%) from the floor and 7 of 25 (28%) from three point range with the Grizzlies.  The Grizzlies need Battier to get his shot back so that he can help them get to the playoffs this year.

The Grizzlies didn’t play any D as the Knicks shot 51.9% from the floor last night and it killed them.  Mike Conley (16 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists) and Darrell Arthur (15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal) led the way for the Grizzlies last night.  Zach Randolph (14 points), Tony Allen (14 points), Sam Young (11 points) and Shane Battier (11 points) also pitched in for the Grizzlies last night.  The Grizzlies are now 37-32 on the year.
