The Memphis Grizzlies picked Josh Selby in the 2nd round of the 2011 NBA Draft

Blogged under Big Grizzlies News,Bloglockers,Comings & Goings,Front Page,General,The Draft Report by admin on Saturday 25 June 2011 at 1:27 pm

The Grizzlies picked 20-year old, 6’2″, 183 pound shooting guard Josh Selby with the 49th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.  Selby didn’t play too well in his only year in college.  He played in 26 games for Kansas last year and he averaged 20.4 minutes, 7.9 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.  Selby only shot 37.3% from the floor last year.  The Grizzlies have a lot of players ahead of Selby at shooting guard, so they should be able to bring him along slowly.

Picking Shelby must be a rough decision for the Grizzlies but being able to pick him might have a reason. Although Shelby is not really a good player but the team can really train him to be a better one.
